Are you ready to Live The Game?
Trial Policy: Players who are looking to join an established team or age group at NJFC will be offered the opportunity to come on trial with the teams on a limited basis. Trials will allow for adequate assessment on the club's and player's end.
Tryouts Policy: Players who are looking to join a new age group at NJFC will be asked to join a talent identification session(s) with other interested players.
Trial Teams Policy: Players who are currently without a team and looking to join one of our "trial teams" may be brought on trial and offered a roster spot if it is still available. Trial teams are short-term teams that are run when there are enough interested players to form a team on a trial basis. Trial teams are formed when a group of players are in need of a place to play immediately for, at least, the short term. These teams typically result in an official team being formed. This is a great option for players looking to transition into club soccer from the travel or recreation level.
Current Players Policy: NJFC believes in showing loyalty to our players and giving them first right to spots on the team for the following season. New players must show they can be an improvement to the team through "trials", thus displacing a player. This form of new player acquisition is focused on building teams on a long-term basis, and not simply grabbing the best players who show up to a large tryout.
REGISTRATION AND NEXT STEPS
The outcome for all interested players will result in 1 of 3 ways after a Trial, Tryout, Trial Team, or Current Season Participation:
First Team Player: The offer of a FTP spot with NJFC means a player is given the responsibility of being part of the official roster. These players are expected to fully commit to the team on a full-time basis. FTPs are expected to make an instant impact at all team events.
Training Squad Player: The offer of a TSP spot with NJFC means a player is offered the opportunity to be a part-time player, with the idea of competing when possible with the team in games/tournaments. TSPs are offered the opportunity to train with the team at all times, and also play in friendly games. TSPs are carded and official members of the team, but are only called up to games and tournaments as needed through availability, hard work, and consistency.
Whether it be through a trial, tryout, trial team, or current player roster spot offer, all players must complete registration to confirm their spot at the club upon being offered a spot. North Jersey FC uses TeamSnap for all club registration, and a link will be included in any offer letter/email sent to accepted players.
Not Ready Yet Player: NRYPs are players who are not being offered spots at the club, as they are deemed not ready yet for the level of competition their age group will be participating at.
